Toxicity is overwhelming on our planet, we have much more pollution and chemicals today that we did not have when we were born, our children and grandchildren have even more toxicity than we did, our body burdens are at an all-time high. Our soils are depleted of vital nutrients and minerals that prevent disease, making it difficult to stay healthy eating normal food the way God intended. Having a detoxification and supplement plan is vital to maintaining your health for most people, along with eating organic food and avoiding geographical areas that are hazardous to your health.
One is a test that can predict your risk of breast cancer is called an Estronex test from Metametrix.com. Researchers at Rockefeller University have found that the body metabolizes estrogens into several different forms that can impact cancer development but not breast cancer prevention.
As you age, your liver becomes more toxic after filtering years of pesticides, fungicides, flame retardants, chemicals heavy metals, cleaning fluids, etc. Your liver then starts conjugating estrogen down the wrong pathway in the liver creating bad estrogen instead of good estrogen. This is why you will hear conflicting reports that estrogen is good and prevents disease and then read another article claiming “estrogen is bad and causes cancer.”
2-hydroxyestrone (2-OHE1), tends to inhibit cancer growth, this is what doctors and people refer to as “Good Estrogen.” The other form of estrogen is referred to as “Bad Estrogen,” that is 16-α-hydroxyestrone (16-α-OHE1), encourages breast cancer prevention tumor development. A woman’s biochemical individuality or we could say toxicity and genetic polymorphisms determine how much of each form of estrogen is produced. Studies have shown that measuring the ratio of these two forms of estrogen, along with other important ratios, provides an important indication of future risk for development of breast cancer.
The studies also show that this risk can be modified!
The Estronex Profile by Metametrix Laboratories ( Metametrix.com) measures both forms of estrogen: 2-OHE1, 4-methoxyestrone (4-OMeE1), and 2-methoxyestrone (2-OMeE1) (the “good” estrogens) along with the BAD estrogens: 16-α-OHE1 and 4-hydroxyestrone (4-OHE1). The ratio of “good to bad estrogens” is determined from your urine specimen. Studies have shown that women with low Estronex 2:16 ratios have much higher rates of breast cancer. A high 2:2 ratio can show genetic issues in clearance of estrogens from the body. These important ratios also indicate increased long-term risk for other estrogen-sensitive cancers, including uterine, ovarian, cervical, and even head and neck cancers!
